Round Ball Calculator from www.ctmuzzleloaders.com Console application instructions: The application comes in two 'flavors'; 'Roundball.exe' and 'Roundball_Pause.exe'. They are the same except that the 'pause' version only shows a few lines at a time, since some old Windows systems don't allow for scrolling the console window output. To run the application: Type in a letter code, followed by the value, and then hit the 'Enter' key . For example, to change the caliber to 0.62, enter: c.62 NOTE!! This must be the caliber of the ball, NOT that of the bore. Every time you enter something, all of the starting conditions will be shown, allowing you to see if it is OK. NOTE that when you change the caliber, a new round ball weight is calculated based on a round ball of pure lead. You may change the weight if you wish, such as: w375 This would change the weight to 375 grains. Other commands are (### means you need to enter a value): A### Change the aim point, in yards L### Sets the height in inches from the bore center to the top of the front sight. V### Sets the muzzle velocity in fps X### Sets the (right angle) crosswing in mph. F Runs the simulation ? Shows a list of all the commands. The output shows: Yards - how far out the ball is FPS/fpe - velocity at that range and ball energy in fpe Drop - The flight path in inches relative to the aim point Drift - The crosswise drift, in inches TOF - The time of flight of the ball, in seconds
